With 25 years of experience across healthcare, insurance, financial services, education and real estate, Umair has built and scaled profitable, socially responsible businesses across the GCC.
For more than a decade, Umair has led Nur Capital’s investment and growth strategy, working alongside leading institutional investors, including Middle Eastern sovereigns, private equity firms and US Fortune 100 companies.
He also serves as Chairman of Everest Health, and as a Board Member of SALAMA, the first takaful insurance company in the Middle East.
Umair's career spans senior executive and advisory roles across Dubai government-related entities and global institutions, including Ernst & Young and Citibank. He has extensive experience across corporate strategy, business transformation, mergers and acquisitions, with a strong track record of investing in, building, and scaling businesses. He holds a Master’s degree from the University of Oxford.
